About Cherith Roberts

An accomplished educator, Cherith Roberts laid the foundation for her successful career with a bachelor of science in elementary education from King University in Bristol, Tennessee. After graduating with summa cum laude honors in 2002, she joined the faculty of Bristol Tennessee City Schools as an interim sixth-grade teacher at Avoca Elementary School before moving into a permanent position with the school as a fifth-grade teacher. While teaching fifth grade, Cherith Roberts matriculated at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City to obtain a summa cum laude master of education with a focus in educational leadership.

Dr. Roberts expanded into the administrative sphere in 2007, overseeing kindergarten, first-grade, and second-grade students as the principal of the Bristol Tennessee City Schools' summer reading program. Building upon this experience, she began the next school year as assistant principal with the district’s Holston View Elementary School. While directing the daily activities of roughly 400 elementary students, Cherith Roberts returned to the academic environment to complete her doctor of education with a particular focus in special education.
